In 2011, Stephen York Coleman, lost his courageous three year battle against brain cancer. He was only 37 years old. Tailgating Against Cancer finds inspiration in supporting other cancer patients, their families and physicians who take on the battle against cancer. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for a fellowship in medical oncology at The University of Tennessee Medical Center and the UT Graduate School of Medicine. Stephen fought his illness with perseverance, courage, determination, and dignity. His legacy will continue as the family raises funds in his memory through Something for Stephen.

Join us for our annual memorial golf tournament.The tournament offers two shotgun starts at 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM and features a team scramble format. Great prizes await all contest winners, as well as total team scores.
We successfully earned a Guinness World Record with the most people wearing mismatched socks at an event. All proceeds were donated to Tailgating Against Cancer to benefit the Stephen Y. Coleman Fellowship of Oncology.
This family friendly event hosted by Anderson Lumber Company gives the community the opportunity to explore trucks and vehicles of all types along with enjoying food, fun and more. This event will benefit the UT Cancer Institute.
